Bitter Coffee
On the rare occassions that I walk into Starbucks I feel that Joni Mitchell, singing on a raised stage in the corner, should stop playing mid chord and the hum of conversation should swiftly dwindle to a silence punctuated only by the sound of steam escaping in bursts from the coffee machine as all eyes turn to me, filled with hostility.
